150 Years @stmarywarsash
The Church was consecrated on 16th August 1871, so 2021 is our 150th Anniversary year.
A Working Group has looked at different initiatives to take place during 2021. These have changed dramatically as a result of the effects of COVID-19 and are now focussed around September 2021.

Our initial plans for 2021 include:-
The Walk of the Cross – Volunteers are sought to host the cross in their homes around the Parish for a day or more between Easter and September;
Anniversary Picnic – To be held after the 10am Family Service on Sunday 5th September in the Churchyard; Click here to view drone images of the event
Anniversary Service – To be held on Sunday 12th September at 10am. Local dignitaries have been invited. This will feature an anthem specially written for the 150th Anniversary;
Flower Festival – To be held in Church over the weekend of 10th – 12th September with a theme of “Weddings through the Years”. Free entry but donations will be encouraged. Light background music will be played from a variety of musicians on the Saturday. Coffee, tea, cakes and light refreshments will be available throughout the Festival from Cafe Company. There will be a closing ceremony on the Sunday afternoon;
Church History Booklet – This is to be updated and will be on sale with proceeds towards Church Funds;
Recipe Book – Full of recipes from the Congregation with proceeds towards Church Funds;
Commemorative Items – We have a number of embroidered 150th Anniversary Polo Shirts. These are available from the Church Office at a cost of £12.50 each or two for £20. Stocks are limited and are on a first come first served basis.
