Our lives are linked to those of the farmers and communities who grow the produce we enjoy. We thank God for those people wherever it they live on earth. We want to bless those people as we purchase and enjoy their produce. We want them to be treated fairly in the market and not just receive a market share, but a just share of the profits from their goods.
We can help by responding to the growing opportunities to buy Fair Trade goods as much as possible. All our supermarkets and many other stores now sell Fair Trade products. Fareham is now a Fair Trade town and the churches run a shop called 'The Well' which sells fair trade goods, and is a coffee and a book shop.
The Traidcraft and Christian Aid websites have helpful information about Fair Trade.
