Alive to God's World and God's People...
At St.Mary's we seek to be Alive to God by being alive to his World and his People. In this we recognise how our lifestyle makes a difference in either blessing or harming others. In being alive to God a Christian lifestyle will seek to bless others and the Creation. We are increasingly aware of how interdependent are our lives with those of people across the globe and with our environment. Our lifestyle choices, everything we do and how we spend and do it all have an impact.
A Christian lifestyle will seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness. In following Jesus it will therefore want to live in response to the hallmarks of his kingdom: of compassion, justice, ethics and moral judgments rooted in the Bible. It will want to bless. work and campaign for the wellbeing of all people and the Creation.
Christian faith encourages us to look at all areas of our lives and submit them to the values of God's kingdom. It is an ongoing challenge, but through it we will grow to know life in all it's fullness as Christ intends.
